The Blatt's staff photographer was on hand to record the recent events leading up to the Palace Ball and the surprising denouement involving a cub reporter and a percussionist.
Apart from being resized to fit on these web pages, the photos have not been processed in any way. Most of them would benefit from some judicious cropping before being printed.

Revelations in a document found in the dustbin of Shawford Parish Hall reveal the full list of those responsible for a ‘production’ in the village which has disrupted the New Year for many local people. “There are some surprises in the list,” says Frank Smith, the caretaker at the Hall who found it. “You’d think most of them would have other things to do. It even involves some quite young children whose parents ought to know better.”
